Marking an email "Unread" in OWA

Should marking and email in OWA also mark it unread in my inbox at work?
 
Best asked in an exchange group (microsoft.public.exchange.clients) as OWA is a part of Exchange, not Outlook.

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

If you are checking the same email account, it should. I use OWA at work and
I can check that same acct at home and everything shows up the same.
