Mark as Read rule doesn't work

Hi!

Spec: Outlook 2003 (Win XP SP2) with Exchange server.

For of each email I send, I want to get a copy of it in my Inbox.
This copy should (obviously) be marked as read, since I've written the
message (I know what it is all about). The reason for this? So that
the "arrange by conversation" threads the entire conversation and not
one side of it only.

Problem: however I try to do it, I cannot seem to mark the mail copied
in the inbox as read.

I only have two rules and they are:
Rule "from me" = Apply after msg arrives, from (e-mail address removed), mark as
read
Rule "sent mail to inbox" = Apply after sending, through Exchange
account, assign to "sentmail" category and move copy to inbox folder.

No matter what order they are in, the email I sent appears unread in
the inbox.
I also tried to replace the "from me" by "has category sentmail", but
it doesn't work any better.

So what now??

After sending myself an email and noticing that in that case the rule
applied, I thought "maybe it's not a new considered as 'new mail' when
it's copied by another rule".

So I tried a single rule
Apply after sending, through Exchange account, assign to "sentmail"
category and and mark as read and move copy to inbox folder.

Guess what? Still appears in bold!!!

Grrrr...
