mapping drive on XP

I have 2 PCs running XP, not part of a domain, simplified sharing disabled.
I can map drive from PC1 to PC2, but not the other way around. It keeps
asking me for username, password.
Please help.

With simple file sharing off, you need to create identical user
accounts/passwords on both machines. You do not need to be logged into
the same account on each machine nor does the password for each user
account need to be identical. The user accounts and their respective
passwords just need to match on the two computers.

After you create the second user account, if you want to set XP to
automatically log in (go directly to the Desktop) for convenience, you can.
