I'm hoping this is the right place to ask this. On PC1, I've got a
shared folder which contacts installation files for a program. Using
a batch file, on PC2, I map to the shared folder on PC1 (which works)
and start the install file called setup.exe. I get an error occur
then saying "Please go to the control panel to install and configure
system components". However, if while still mapped, I browse to the
mapped drive and double-click the setup.exe file, it works! Why is
this and how to I get it to work automatically through the batch file
without erroring?

Hi Bobbie,

You may post the contents of your batch file here, so that I can try to repro the problem in my system.

Many apps. wont install over a network. You will probably have to
install that app on the specific PC.
