Maping Network Drive in Vista

I have PC1 (running Win XP) and PC2 (running Vista Home Basic).

In PC2, I only have one user account (the administrator), with no password.
I shared my C: drive to all.

Now, in PC1, when I try to Map Network Drive to the C: drive in PC2, it
keeps saying Access Denied.
Then I clicked on "Connect using a different name", and keyed in PC2's User
account, leaving password blank (since there is no password).
Same response.

Then, on PC2, I created the passwrd for the user account, went back to PC1,
and this time keyed in the password. I got connected.

My question is - I do not want PC2 to be password controlled. Pls tell me
how I can still get PC1 to map the drive to PC2's C: drive without the
password control.

Hal Hostetler [MVP P/I]

The only way you can do that is to enable the Guest account. This is a
built-in account for guest users that is normally disabled for security
purposes. More info is here:
