Mapping All of Network Drive

I have 2 computers (called A and B ). Both are running XP Pro.
Computer A is mapping a drive (mapped as a 'Z' drive) on computer B. I
can access all the files and everything works fine, except with a
couple of directories.

For instance, when I try and open the Z:\Windows folder or the
Z:\Documents and Settings\UserName I get the following error message:

"DirectoryPath is not accessible. Access is denied."

Now, I can access something like Z:\Documents and Settings\Guests just
fine. And the login account I'm using on computer A is an
administrator on computer B.

This is the designed behaviour.

When you share a whole disk ( not reccomended );
which is formatted in NTFS;
on an XP system which has Simple File Sharing enabled,
it will use the NTFS permissions to block shared acess to certain folders.

In XP home, Simple File Sharing is enabled all the time.
And it 'shields' you from the big bad NTFS permissions ( security tab. )
So you can't change it.

Possible workarounds?

1) You can share any individual sub-folders of the blocked folders.

2) You could try booting to safe mode, and from there gain access to the
NTFS permissions ( security tab ), and re-set them.
This would probably remain in force untill you let the Simple File
Sharing
UI tramp all over the permissions again.( I've not tried this. )

3) You can re-format the machine to FAT32 ( backwards step. )

4) You can upgrade to XP Pro, and disable Simple File Sharing.
You then have full control of both Share and NTFS permissions.

This is by design.. on purpose to lock you out of "other" account information
you will need administrator privelages on the second computer to be able to
read other peoples information
this is designed so joe blow cant access files from another computer and get
said credit card information, ex.

so, make a user on second computer as an administrator
and when you access the second computer form your machine, you should be
able to view all directories on the other
