Syncing a mapped drive.

Hey Folks,

I have two systems (an XP-Pro desktop and an XP-Pro laptop) that I need to
share files from time to time. To do this, I added a folder from the desktop
as a mapped drive on the laptop. Right now, the laptop is set so that these
files are available offline and syncing occurs whenever the laptop shuts
down. All of this works fine.

The one problem that I have is this: folders/files created in the mapped
drive by the LAPTOP (regardless of whether it's connected to the desktop at
the time) are automatically included for future synchronization. However,
folders/files created in the mapped directory on the desktop are NOT
automatically included.

So, if I mapped the desktop's "My Documents" folder as "Z:" on the laptop, a
new folder/file created in Z: by the laptop will be synchonized, but a new
folder/file created in the desktop's My Documents folder will NOT be
synchronized.

I know there's a setting to fix this (accessible through one of the
utilities like RegEdit) because I've used it before, but I can't for the like
of me remember and my notes were destroyed by a previous HDD crash. Help
would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Drek
