Mapped Net Drives Becoming Disconnected

I have 2 W2000 workstations that have drives mapped to
servers on an NT Domain. Periodically, the mapped drives
appear with the Red "X" through them in Windows Explorer.
However, as soon as you click on the drive, it behaves as
if nothing is wrong. Has anyone seen this and is there a
way to fix it? Both machines are at SP4.

Hello Mike,

unfortunally i can't tell you what the problem is. In fact
I have an ever bigger problem in the same area. Mu drives
also get disconnected en when I click on them in the
Windows Explorer I get the message "{d:} not accessible,
The network path was not found". After several times the
drive is connected again. A lot of programs get into
trouble when they have open files on these kind of
connections. The only thing I could find in de MS
Knowledge base was that the problem should be related to
using Compaq programs. I don't use these kind of programs
however.
I hope somebody will come up with a solution....
