Mapped Drives

I originally posted this yeasterday, but I have some more
info (it's at the bottom):

This situation is occuring on a few Win2000/XP
workstations connecting to a Win2000 file server.

There are a few mapped drives to shares on the server.
Within explorer, they all appear with a red X, but I can
still connect by double-clicking.

These drive mappings do not appear when running the net
use command.

If I try to disconnect, I get 'the network connection
could not be found'

When I try to map a drive through Network Neighborhood or
My Computer, those particular drive letters don't appear
as an option

I have gone through the registry and tried to delete any
references to these drive letters and drive mappings, but
the issue still occurs.

It appears that the issue began occuring when someone (not
me) placed a logon script in the Computer Configuration in
the GP (as well as for users). Even after I removed this
script, the drives still appear with the red X and unable
to disconnect.

Any ideas?
