MAPI Spooler

I have approximately 50 outgoing emails (all with the same two-page Word
attachment) lined up and ready to send. I double click the first and hit send
when it opens and off it goes. Double click the second, hit send but the
screen returns to the Outbox and now the email message is italicized.

When I click it again, I get a message saying that the MAPI Spooler has
already started to send the messsage, but it sits there for about 15 minutes
before it sends it.

What is happening and why can't it just send the message when I hit send?

What version of Outlook? The OS is irrelevant.

Also, how are you trying to send these items? Mail Merge? Distribution
list? Individually? What type of connection are you using?
