MAPI Spooler error in 2007

When emailing from Word (Office Button/Send/Email), I have a user
encountering an error.

After clicking on "Send", he is prompted to "Choose Profile" (although he
has only one Outlook Profile). He clicks "Ok"

Then, the error "The MAPI Spooler could not be started. Close . . . MAPI
1.0 [000004C7]" pops-up.

So far, to solve the problem:
When the Outlook Profile box comes up, I've choosen to "Set as default
Profile" (It doesn't stick.)
I've deleted and re-created his Outlook Profile
Ran a "Repair" on Office, then, uninstalled/reinstalled Office.
I've checked IE to verify his email program is set to "Microsoft Office
Outlook"
I've logged in as myself and receive the same error.

His OS is XP SP2; Office version is 2007. He is running off of Exchange.

Which add-ins do you have installed for Outlook?
Does it work when you already have Outlook running?
If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable this
integration and try again.
