invalid profile

When I click on a profile at start-up it says its not valid.
In mail -email acounts it won't let me choose email accounts and when I pick
profiles I get an error message: internal MAPI error -profile can not be
found, contact administrator.
I'm using XP and I've just installed Office 2007. Really having problems
setting up profiles -HELP!

I've tried to remove it via Control Panel>mail and it won't allow me. the
mssg is internal MAPI error, no profile by that name could be found . -but I

Try creating a new profile first, setting that as default, then removing the
old one...

I do have one profile working. I need two I think, and the extra one that
doesn't work bugs me. (plus I want THAT name.)
Can this be related to the "default" profile? Maybe I messed with that?

Are you on a home computer or a corporate computer?
If the last; did you admin perhaps deploy the mail profiles?

Is the profile that is not working your default one?
Is outlook.exe still running when you try to remove it?
