Multiple profiles sharing pst, requires reboot.

I have multiple profiles which share a pst file. The problem is that when I close outlook to switch to the other profile, I will get a 'pst file still in use' error and will have to reboot my machine in order to log into my other profile. I do not like having to reboot whenever I switch profiles. Sometimes if I am patient enough (wait 10 minutes) it will work. Any ideas? Thanks.
