MAPI Error while trying to import messages to Mail

Have Outlook 2002 install on Vista and am trying to import messages to
Windows Mail but am getting MAPI client error. What can be done to resolve
this issue and is Windows Mail better than Outlook 2002.
Thanks

I don't know if it will work, but try exporting from Outlook instead of
importing from WinMail.

Thanks for the info but it did not work. You can only export a file which I
tried with my pst and supposedly it did something but when I opened Mail,
there's nothing there, Welcome to Vista, lol!

You might ask in an Outlook NG. I'm not sure Outlook 2002 works well in
Vista (e.g. this problem), but I'm not an Outlook expert.

Found an easy way to import the messages and address book on the web, have
created a post call "Best way to import messages/addresses to windows mail.
If you follow these steps then it'll be done quick. Sad part is after I was
done, I realized that Mail does not accept HTTP mail so I can access my
hotmail account so forget Windows Mail. Microsoft really mess this one up

Microsoft recently enabled POP access for free Hotmail accounts,
so now you can use Windows Mail with a Hotmail account.
See

Windows Mail's new account wizard is hard-coded to reject Hotmail addresses.
So, when you enter your email address initially, give it a fake one,
such as (e-mail address removed). After the account setup is complete, go back
and correct your email address.
