Hi,
I just built a new computer, and I'm trying to get Windows
XP installed. I manage to get the process all the way to
copying the system files onto the hard drive. However,
once it gets about halfway in, I start getting these sort
of prompts:
'The file XXXXXX.XXX could not be copied'
I retried and skipped a few, but after the 30th or so bad
file, I gave up. I've tried the install a few more times,
and it keeps happening. I'm using the drivers for the
Serial ATA drive and get's past the partioning stage just
fine.
Any idea what might be causing this?
My comp specs are:
2.8 GHz Intel P4 w/ Hyper Threading
SOYO P4i845PE V1.0 motherboard
1024 RAM
Seagate 80 GB Serial ATA hard drive
Thanks,
