Install Failure at Creating list of files to be copied

I am trying to install Windows XP Professional on a new
hard drive. It formats the drive and gets to the point of
creating the list of files to be copied and hangs. This
has happened on other hard drives and with different
installations disks.

Any help would be appreciated
