I would find it very hard to trust a Freeware Site that recommends theTharpa said:

Makes me wonder what other SPYWARE is being recommended on this site.

It isn't as full featured as some of the other programs listed but
it's simply and free without any spyware installations - and listen to
the wise men - stay the hell away from Gator.

It has another interesting trick... "Animated JPEG" - using a java
applet to show a JPEG filmstrip, with possibly smaller size and better
quality (from a truecolour source) than GIF.
