Major Processor Overload

Hello.
When ever i am running a processor-needy program or
game, after a few minutes into the game being run, the
processor becomes very overloaded, and everything lags as
far as display and functions go. If the program is
internet based (online gameplay etc.) My packet loss
skyrockets and i am booted from the game as soon as the
processor lag ends. If i continue playing an offline
game, the processor seems to over load about once very
minute for 30 second periods.

I am pretty certain some sort of adware or trojan is
causing this, because sometimes a popup attack occurs
very rapidly. My problem is McAfee does not detect
anything. AdAware does not detect anything. And SpyBot
does not detect anything. I have tried using FileMon to
see what is causing the processor to max out to the point
of heavy lag, but it doesnt pick up anything unusual
except sometimes i notice all of the folders and programs
in my Start Menu running some sort of check during the
laggy period. I believe File mon is lagging too when
this lag takes place, so i can't locate the correct time.

If anyone has any ideas how to locate my problem or any
other ideas as to what is causing my memory and processor
to overload and bog down to very choppy standards please
email or respond.

have you downloaded the newest version of spybot???? or
refresh your highspeed connection ip address (renew and
release) in case hacker has your address targeted.

I have the newest versions of spybot, mcafee and
adaware. Whats strange is that FileMon and PerfMon (two
diagnostic tools) have gaps in their logs whenever this
lag occurs. It makes it very difficult to figure out
what is causing the problem because it appears in the
programs that the lag never happened (Perfmon has a large
gap in the graph and file mon skips about 30 seconds of
time). Also, I have my network cable unplugged when
playing, so hackers are not an option. In looking since
my last post i found and deleted REGSVRAC32.EXE. I
rebooted and tried to play and i experienced the same
problems. Any other suggestions? (PS: I know my
computer has up to date enough soft ware to run the
games, but that still doesnt rule out a hardware problem?)

You talk about processor overload but you don't tell what processor you are using or how much Ram you have in your system. Give some details or go away!
