major error

My Microsoft Management console is having fits,,,can't defrag,,,
Error is as follows:Hanging application mmc.exe, version 5.2.3790.2612, hang
module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Anywone have any idea how to fix this,,,,even reformatting and reinstalling
doesn't help.

Thanks,,,but that didn't help,,,,, I had notes on how to sfc / scannow,,,,but one tech told me how to do a repair from this run program,,,,
