"Mailwasher" spam killer

Is anyone using the freeware beta version of "Mailwasher"
and, if so, how would you rate its effectiveness and
functionality? Is there some other software that you
would recommend as an alternate? Any other opinions,
suggestions and recommendations relative to stopping spam
would be gratefully accepted. Thanks.

I have used a program called K9 for awhile and have been very pleased
with it. It's freeware and you can get it from http://www.keir.net/k9.html

I use Mailwasher all the time. Works very well with the 100+
spams I get every day. It will actually let you read the email
before you download it from your mail server to see if it's
friendly or spam...

I've used it for nearly two years and like it a lot. In addition to
filtering spam, it also identifies possible email virus threats. If you have
more than one account, you'll need the 2b28 version found here,
http://www.real-world-solutions.org/ftp/. The latest version from
www.mailwasher.net supports only one account.
