Outlook 2003 won't download E Mail

I have been using a spam filtering program called Mailwasher Pro (recently
upgraded to version 6) for many months now with no problems. My ISP is
Tiscali.

A few days ago, something (I suspect Outlook) crashed while I was viewing E
Mail in Outlook and I finished up having to reinstall Outlook completely.
Fortunately I do back up Outlook so all I lost was recent stuff - bad
enough, but I can live with it.

The problem now is that, although the Mailwasher program is working
properly, and Outlook will (apparently) connect and download E Mails,
nothing appears in the Inbox, or anywhere else as far as I can see!

I have posted on the Mailwasher forums and raised it with the Mailwasher
company, but they seem to think it's an Outlook problem - and I'm inclined
to agree.

I have tried everything I can think of, such as seeing if filters are hiding
the mail and so on - does anyone have any suggestions on the cause and, more
importantly, a solution?

Many thanks

Mike

If OL crashed you it would be obvious.
Check the path to the Personal Folders, shown in OL, All Mail Folders View
it maybe that you are accessing a new data file, and not your old data file

Thanks for the suggestion. I really only said "I suspect" because I have
learnt never to trust that the "obvious" is often not what you think with
PCs!

I am not sure where to look to find the path you refer to - could you be
more specific as to how I can check this, please?

Many thanks for your time.

WIth Tascali, it's no wonder you need a antispam software.

There was probably no need to reinstall Outlook.

It could be a mail profile issue. Create a new one and configure it to use
your existing PST.
