mailbox size incorrect after dragging file on outlook

Hi,

a user here mistakenly (in trying to add a perosnla folder) dragged the file
onto outlook. The fille was 400mb.
now the mailbox size reports as 450mb - when you check the folder sizes in
properties the total size displayed is 450mb but when you drill down the
folders it only accounts for 50mb - any idea where this 400mb file is
strange!!!

Did you compact the PST?

No, although crossposting to the Exchange group may get you a better answer.
The space taken by the deleted message may still be allocated to the message
store in the server. Are you using offline folders otr cached mode?
 
No offlien folders in use either..
