Mail sent from distribution list is not delivered.

I manage my AOL e-mail through Outlook 2003 on my home office computer. It
generally works well. However, when I set up a distribution list with 39
entries (including me), it delivered to only one person on the list (not me
and not an AOL address).

Here is what happened: Sent the e-mail with the name of the DL in the To
field. E-mail went to the Outbox, then to the Sent box, then to the
IMAP.AOL.COM Sent box. However, it did not arrive at my Inbox nor my
IMAP.AOL.COM Inbox, nor at all but one of the other recipients' Inboxes.

I delimited the addresses with a semicolon first, then with a comma (since
AOL likes commas). In each case, Outlook expanded the DL name appropriately,
but in neither case did the mail go through.

All ideas gratefully accepted!

AOL? What mail account type does AOL use?
Even with supported mail account types DL's barely work.
