Sending "reply" to e-mail a copy goes both to SENT and INBOX Fold

Since July 2007 have been unable to find a resolution! Using Outlook 2003
with AOL imap e-mail acount. Whenever I hit reply to respond to an e-mail a
copy goes to BOTH the "Sent" and "Inbox" folders. So annoying. Only want the
copy to go to sent folder...not back to my inbox as well.

Do not have any rules set. Tried deleting and reconfiguring the e-mail
account. Did a repair of Office installation. Anyone have any ideas?

Tools->Options->Email Options (perhaps advanced email options) do you have it set to keep a copy in the sent items and other folders?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

Yes, do have it set to keep a copy in the sent items folder. Don't see an
"other" folder.

I followed the suggestion of neo (mvp outlook) and it seems to have resolved
my issue. Once I unchecked the box it seems to have resolved my issue. See
below from Neo:

Take a peek at Tools > Options > Preferences tab > Email Options button >
Advanced Email Options button. Second checkbox from the top about in
folders other than the inbox, saving items with original message.
