Outlook 2007 Personal Distribution List - "Expand List" error

J

Jason Lewis

Running Outlook 2007 on Exchange 2003 in an XP Pro environment on AD.

A user has created multiple personal distribution lists which - if emails
are sent to the list name itself - are receiving and delivering as expected.

However, if the user clicks on the "Expand List" icon next to the name of
the DL in "To" field, the list resolves to a number of semicolons
(corresponding to the number of contacts in the DL).

All contacts listed in the DL are also Outlook 2007/Exchange 2003 users.
This error is affecting only one user at a particular site following a
distribution of Office 2007. All other users at this site are able to create,
send to and - more significantly - expand DLs which resolve to the contact
names correctly.

Repair of Office 2007 has been run with no change.

Any advice?

Some of our users are experiencing the problem of expanding DLs and see semi-colon's. If there a temporary cache or a repair that might be needed? Other people are able to expand the same DLs without a problem. Appears to be related to the recent upgrade to Office 2007
thank you
