Mail Object in AD ?

Hello all,

I was looking through my AD Users and Computers area. In the Computers
section, there is an object called "Mail". This is not the name of my E2K
server or any other PC or server in my domain. When I tried to delete this
object I receive a message that says...

"Object MAIL is a container and contains other objects. Are you sure you
want to delete object MAIL and the objects it contains?"

I selected No. I am unsure what this means. Is it safe to delete this
object? How can I find out what these other objects are?

Thanks,
Scallica

You can view the other objects by click the view menu in AD Users and
Computer, Click Users, Group, and Computers as Containers. Now you can click
the computer object MAIL again and see the child objects.

Chris,

Thank you so much. There was a child object called "RemoteStorageService".

May this object are created by any installed software. If you right click
the particular computer object and click properties then click Operating
System you may can see if this is a real Windows based computer.
