Revealing container object

CAMC1

Hi,

When I delete a computer object in active directory, it is telling me that
it is container that contains other objects.

I deleted some computer like this, but don't want to delete anymore before
seeing what this container is for.

any idea?

If you go under the view menu option you will see there is an option to
select "Users, Groups and Computers as Containers". This is probably
selected, deselect and I bet this pop up will go away.

That was not selected.
I only select "Advanced Features" and never select that feaure.

When it warns about computer object having another container object, I guess
it may be referring to any printer or share belongs to the computer but
published in active directory.

I think this is the reason why I get warnings on a few computers.

I remove computers all the time and the only time I have seen that message
is as I detailed earlier. I have no other explanation for this message.
Maybe someone else in here has.

This occurs when an object has subobjects under it. Computers are a
container class and can have subobjects of various classes, primarily
you will find print queue objects, MSMQ objects, and RAS objects.
However the list can contain (in a default base R2 forest)
