Mail Message from Business Contact not linking to history

Has anyone else encounted an issue with generating an email message from a
contact/account and it not linking to the history? It seems to me that if I
generate a mail message using the "New History Item" it should actually link
there. I'm not having any issues with business notes, phone logs, or
etcetera.

I also see this problem. Notice that the "link to record" button is
not present on unsent emails, but only appears on sent/received
emails. That implies that BCM is not capable of linking an email to a
message until after you send it. I couldn't find a workaround.

Probably because Outlook only considers and email to be an email once
it is sent or saved. Before that it's just some text in a form.
