mail forward rule not working

On a workstation attached to a SBS 2005 server when we get incoming mail and
try to forward it by a Rule it does not forward to outside mail address . I
can create a new email and send it to that same outside address and it works
well. Just won't forward to that address

Auto Forwarding to the internet is switched off by default on the Exchange
Server, your Exchange administrator would need to change this. Note there is
a potential for mail looping plus other considerations for instance
sensitive or damaging information sent off site etc
