When I was installing W2K on my PC, I mistakenly entered
the wrong user name. Now it doesn't recognize any of my
old settings, etc. Can I change names or do I have to
reinstall?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\RegistreredOwner - if you mean the user name for the whole
windows installation, the one you input before Windows starts, while the
setup is running.
Anyway, a better way to do this is to install X-teq (do a search on google);
on any option that can be tweaked with this program you may find what it
does write on registry.
