Macromedia Fireworks Changed my icons

After installing Macromedia Fireworks it has changed my default Windows
Icons for .jpg, .gif etc.
What can I do to get my Windows Icons back?
I never did associate Fireworks with these files and the program should have
left them alone but still it changed them.

Needless to say I am not happy that this program takes over my computer and
will not be using it in the future. Uninstalling it didn't get my icons
back.

Thanks for any help

Jay

Open explore click on tools then folder options then file types then scroll
to the file you want to change click on it and then see if restore is
avalable if just select the program you want to open the file type with.

I had already done what you suggested. It's not a matter of re-associating
the files. They were never associated in the first place with Fireworks.
However all the icons were changed to Fireworks icons during the install.

I remember doing this once and someone here in this group gave me the steps
to correct this.
I think had to change something in the registry if I remember correctly, but
I could be mistaken.

Thanks

J
