Fireworks icon displayed for all jpg icons

I am a graphic designer.
I just upgraded to Windows XP professional and
now all my jpg icons are showing a "Macromedia Fireworks"
icon rather than an "Adobe Photoshop" icon which it should
be.
Even my I.T. guy could not fix it.
Please help

Right click a jpeg and choose properties. On the general tab click "change"
next to "Opens with." Choose Adobe from the list. Make sure the "always use
the selected program" box is checked.
