Can I format a xp word doc and then have it saved as a pc doc and not loose the formatting. Thnaks for any help

The newer MS Word converters seem to be much better than past ones.
Although I haven't used Save As and selected Word for Macintosh and opened
the document on a Macintosh system. I have used some of the other
converters and haven't had the problem with loss of some formatting as in
the past. Why not just create a test document, SAVE AS File type (don't
know which converters are included with the MAC version, but there's
probably a File type for Word for Windows PC or something like that), and
attach it to an email it to someone you know has WORD on a PC system. Ask
in the body of the email if the formatting of the document looks OK.

It seems most reliable to save as RTF file to share Word docs between PC
and Mac.
