Virtual Android Tablet

I have some free tablet documents I want to look at but I have no
tablet. The docs are available in a variety of formats including
Android.

Is there some freeware Windows XP virtual tablet app that will allow me
to look at the tablet docs on my laptop?

You can install the Android SDK (Software Development Kit) which
includes an Android emulator which can run most any device
configuration you like, including tablets. That may be a bit more than
you need, however - as DHL mentioned in his reply, depending on the
file format you have it may be that there are Windows-based programs
able to read and display them.

See David H. Lipman's reply and let me add the following: post the
file *extensions* (the characters at the end of the file name, after
the dot) of those various formats.

There's probably lots of software that can do what you want, but it's
to recommend something without knowing the extensions.

Hopefully this SDK will let me download the documents from the remote
website ???

As part of a subscription I paid for, I get these Android docs but i do
not have a tablet or intend to get a tablet soon. I am waiting for
tablet HW & SW development to get more mature. I currently do not need
a tablet but will probably get one to play with in the future.

You could give us a link (URL) to the site you've subscribed to.
Perhaps it states on there, whether they're "Ebooks" or whatever.

You didn't answer the questions posed. :-(

Hard to say without the information you've been asked to provide. The
SDK emulator does connect to the Internet through the host PC's
connection so it has access to pretty much any content out there, but
it does not have the ability to connect to the Google Play Store so if
the app you use to read this content is only available in the Google
Play Store, you may be out of luck. As others have asked repeatedly,
we need more information to be able to help you in any significant way.
