I have a friend, his computer gets this error?

M Mod Module has encounted a problem and needs to
close.

any suggestions. I have checked Microsofts site and can't find anything. I
have no idea what the module would be?

He needs to isolate what program is calling it:

How to Troubleshoot By Using the Msconfig Utility in Windows XP [Q310560]

Once he knows, then it can probably be addressed by the program
manufacturer.
