Lucent Winmodem Problem

Hello,
I have an HP pavellion with a lucent winmodem. I
upgraded from win me to xp pro. Now whenever my pc is off
the modem will answer any incoming phone calls after the
first ring. It only happens when the pc is off. I have
tried upgrading the driver. I uninstalled the device from
the device manager, and the problem went away, but as
soon as I reinstalled the device it came back. The
strange part is it only happens when the pc is shut down.
when the pc is on it behaves normally. Any ideas?

Go into the BIOS and disable "Wake on Modem"
