lsasse.exe error

On an xp pc, whenever I use internet explorer, after a few
minutes use, I get an lsasse.exe error and the pc shuts
down. Have tried the sasser worm remover but there was
nothing found on the pc.

You might try McAfee's free online scan. Also, you might do a google search
for lsasse.exe and find some other removal tools. I found several sites with
information.

I had this problem for ages on XP with SP 1. SP2 cleared up all the
problems for me, but prior to that on a clean install had to run virus check
on C drive then download all updates, before I installed my adsl modem. and
would be ok.

As I say SP2 for me is a saviour.
