I cannot boot into any mode.....eg. normal, safe mode, or
directoy restore mode, it hangs when this error pop-up
appears until I hit OK for it reboot the machine.

Any ideas as to fix this lsass.exe error WITH repair or
console as this is the only way I can login or get into
the machine?

thanks.

What happens when you attempt to boot into DS restore mode? You should be
able to boot in this mode. The AD database isnt loaded so you should not
receive the lsass.exe error then. There is an article that may resolve the
issue but you must be in DS restore mode to follow it. The article is
311502 Error Message: A Transaction Recover Failed. Error Status: 0xc0000227

Same error. I cannot get into that mode either. I think
my machine is fighting between re-setup/upgrade and this
active directory loading.

But in any case, i still receive the same error and cannot
continue to go any further.

Maybe cause its in setup mode its trying to load the
lsass.exe anyways until the setup is satisfied with the
new installation?

You mentioned that the OS is trying to complete setup. Did you attempt to
reinstall the OS?
