AD restore mode and missing file

My windows 2000 server having boot problem. Whenever it boot into
windows login, it will prompt me that lsass.exe can't be found and need
to restore using AD restore mode for DC only. So i restart and it
manage to boot into Ad restore mode and then into safe mode. But i
can;t find my password for login. I was using domain password all the
time. Pls advise what can i do to login and make lsass.exe works again
even i copy the file into winnt/system32 folder via another OS. Thanks

When you login to AD restore mode you do not use your Domain Administrator
credentials. This is your AD Restore password. You specify it when you
DCPromo your server into a Domain Controller. You are kind of stuck without
it.
