I turn on my computer today and I get the error message "Security Accounts Manager initiailzation failed because of the following error: The handle is invalid. Error status: 0xc0000008. Please click okay to shutdown and reboot into safe mode, check the event log for more detailed information." Safe mode has the same problem. I tried using a Windows XP CD to "repair" the hard drive, but says no "windows detected" The problem seems to be the computer does not recogonize my hard drive. (which is 2 80 GB maxtor hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration) bios recognizes the hard drives, and shows them as functional. However, as soon as I get to the login screen of windows, the error message pops up. I tried a windows floppy boot disk, but it says invalid system disk. I tried putting in a windows ME disk,to get to the DOS prompt. Once there I tried to copy over my SAM file, however it says that no such file exists. (because it's not seeing my C drive) I also tried hooking up a second hard drive on the computer, but that just sent the computer into an endless loop of rebooting itself, it never even gets to the log in screen. I tried using the second hard drive on the "bad computer" by itself, but again, it just continued to reboot itself. I'd GREATLY appreciate any help on this matter, thank you very much!

Windows can't see you drive because you have a RAID
controller. In the very beginning of Windows Setup, press
F6 when the message "Press F6 to use third-part SCSI or
RAID drivers".
Insert your RAID drivers diskette containing OEMSETUP.TXT
and the .SYS file for your RAID controller to continue Setup.

If I don't have the disk available, is there a place online where I could download the drivers? Thanks very much!

Look for drivers on the controller card mftr.'s website. If there is no
separate controller card, look on the motherboard mftr.'s website for
drivers.

I tried to install the RAID drivers, but unfortunetly this did not work. However it was able to see the hard drive enough to let me "repair it" I tried that, but when I got to the login screen I got the error message again, so I'm back to square one. Again, I greatly appreciate any and all input!
