Lost Windows Explorer

Yesterday I wanted to go to Windows Explorer. When I clicked the Desktop shortcut it opened My Documents.
Went to Start>Accessories>Windows Explorer and it still opened My Documents. Ran Search and all that was
found was 5 references to the shortcut!

Could the Windows Explorer been deleted from the computer?

Hi Dan,

Yesterday I wanted to go to Windows Explorer. When I clicked the Desktop shortcut it opened My Documents.
Went to Start>Accessories>Windows Explorer and it still opened My Documents. Ran Search and all that was
found was 5 references to the shortcut!!

Could the Windows Explorer been deleted from the computer?

Go to Start > Run and type 'explorer.exe'
(Without the quotation marks)

If Windows Explorer appears then you have only lost the shortcuts.
To create one, go to the folder Windows, look for explorer.exe,
right-click and choose send to desktop (create a shortcut)

Good luck, hope this helps
