Lost windows explorer from program folder and start menu

Sometimes I really wonder how I manage to do the stupid stuff I do!

I have xp pro and have deleted windows explorer from the list of things on the pop up menu you get when you left click Start. I looked in Programs to drag it back again, but it is not in Programs. It is not in Accessories either.

If I click Start, Run, then type Explorer and click OK, it does open, so I know it is still there somewhere!! It opens to "My Documents"

What I would like to do is put it back on the Start menu pop up list of programs AND change the default explore file to C:

Can you please tell me what to do?

Very many thanks.

1. Right-click on the nice green Start button and select Properties.
2. Click the Customize button, then the Add button.
3. In the Create Shortcut box type:
%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe /root, C:\
4. Click Next, then click Start Menu, then Next.
5. Type: Windows Explorer in the box, then click Finish.

Thanks Carey! It's back and opening on C. Perfect! I had to switch to Classic view to find an add button, but followed your directions in Classic then switched back to my XP style menu.

Ahhhhh... feels like I just found my lost puppy!

Thanks a million.
