Somehow I removed the shortcuts to lots of installed programs when I customized the All Programs menu through the Control Panel. How do I reinstall them without having to go to each program to identify a shortcut, and then move it to the Programs menu?

Each user's Start Menu displays shortcuts placed on both, All users and on
'username' folder. use the following guide to set up customized shortcuts.
Unfortunately, for greater flexibility, performing this manually is the way
to go.

c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu
c:\documents and settings\username\start menu

Check in the Recycle Bin, if they are there, just restore them.
