I can't remember how to add a program/shortcut to the Start Menu. Please

Right-click on the executable, drag it to the Start Menu, release the
mouse and choose 'Create Shortcut Here'.

You can add a shortcut to All Programs and to the /left/ side of the
Start menu. Technically, this adds the shortcut to the All Users profile.

[BTW, You can always rename the shortcut once it's on the Start menu.]

You can also sort the Start Menu by playing with the actual folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Start Menu
