Right click context menu - Change

P

Paddler

Two programs added a shortcut to the right click context menu. I wish to
remove those short cuts.
On my wife's computer, the search command was added to the top of the
context menu list. She wishes to reorder that to its original place.
I tried the Tweaks power tool, but it would not load.
Help will be greatly appreciated. It has been driving me NUTS!

The entry you wish to remove is in one or more of these keys:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder]

For example, to remove the commands for WinRAR you would delete this key:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\WinRAR]

how do i remove the "dummy" Explore context menu

Hi! i would like to seek help on how i could edit my "right-click context menu" problem. you see my computer recently was infected by a virus known as "NewHeur_PE virus" it was detected by NOD32 now my problem now is when i go to "My Computer" (you see the current drives installed C: d: etc) when you right-click on a drive you see Open, Search..., Explore ( here i see 2 Explore) commands...now the 1st one when you click on t wll go to the Open Wth...window, while the 2nd "Explore" will simply go to the normal command( you see the contents of the drive) ...I would like to know where in Registry will i go to find the 1st "Explore" command on my Right-click Context Menu....(just wanted to have it the way it was)....if you could help me with this problem and hope there won't be a problem with my PC n the future. Thank You
