lost "search" & "run" commands(start button) xp home

*XP HOME*

dont know when exactly or how but it seems that iv lost
both the "search" & "run" commands(under start panel).

and even using "task manager(ctrl/alt/del)" try
hitting "new task/run" to open up "msconfig" and i get
this message...

"Windows cant find "msconfig".Make sure you typed name
correctly and try again. To search 4 a file, click start
and search."

BIG OOPS..ehh!?

anyone wanna "kick some knowledge"? after you get done
laughing of course!

Boot from your Windows XP CD-Rom and run setup again, choose to Repair your
current Windows installation.

Line 57 right hand side has one called "Restore Run Command

Viruses can interfere too. Is your system clean?

Per chance, do you also have Win98 installed as a dual boot? If XP
installed on a driver other than C? Either way, what "exactly" have you
installed or ran recently. Please be specific and include all.
