When I used to put a camera flash card into the card reader, a window
would come up asking which program I wanted to open the new pictures.
Now, this screen no longer opens. I can still get to the new pictures,
but have to now do it by opening IExplorer and go to the drive that the
card is in. A big pain... I think the problem may have arisen when I
downloaded and installed Dalifer (sp?). How do I get back that picture
opening screen to be my default when loading a flash card?

To solve this problem with CDs that stopped doing the same which I solved as
follows;

go to my computer
right click properties
select autoplay
put tick in prompt me each time to chose an action.

You could insert your flash card and try the same?

Did all that you said to do. Problem still that when the card reader is
activated, the screen that gives you the choices of which media player
to use, doesn't come up.

I did a system restore, but that didn't help to bring up the choices screen
