Lost Network Shares

I have a new Dell computer that is a member of a domain and has 4
mapped network drives. The drives are mapped and working when the user
leaves at night. However, if the user leaves him computer logged in
overnight, when he comes in the next day, those drives are unavailable
and if he tries to open windows explorer, it locks up his computer.

Also, if he leaves his computer idle for an hour or so when he tries
to access the shared drives, he gets an error that they are
unavailable.

A reboot corrects the problem, but we have multiple other XP machines
in the office and none of them have this problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Check your power settings in Control Panel - your hard disk/network card
maybe going to sleep.
