Lost my Save as

In windows xp when I click on save as for any document and then try to click
on the drop down menu to change the save location my computer freezes up,
can I stop this without having to re-install everything.

I'v seen this happen, when you have a problem or slow network
connection. Try it not on the network and without any network drive and
see how it responds then.

Im not attached to a network it is a stand alone machine.

This happened to me some months ago after I had downloaded an automatic
update.

There is a fix for it and it is on the MS pages, but I'm sorry I can't tell
you where it was. I was helped in the MS Office groups
microsoft.public.office
