lost my pictures?

I have pictures on my SanDisk that I wanted to put in the computer, but now
the computer is saying that the disk is not formated and if I want to format
it now. Did I loose all of my pictures, and if not how to I get them back.
If they are gone how can I prevent it from happening again? Thanks.

Don't format the memory card until
you have exausted your file recovery
options.

Maybe the following free software
will help you recover the files.

Recuva - File Recovery
http://www.recuva.com/

One possible reason for corrupted
files could be that you downloaded via
USB cable directly from the camera
and the batteries were low. This is
of the the main reasons I suggest using
a USB card reader.

Hi,
SanDisk has recovery software for just this purpose. They used to give
it free with cards, but now sell it.
